The hotel was in an exquisite location close enough to which has been awarded a blue flag, and the bakery. Superior double room with spacious bathroom, private balcony and comfy pillows was ready when we checked-in.
Nothing negative to say.

Had really great stay for one night with welcoming staff and absolutely perfect location at the center. Our superior queen room was equipped with comfy pillows and spacious bathroom, as example. Location: the hotel was short walk to the bakery, grocery shop and local bar and the beach and the sea there. There was an outdoor restaurant nearby.

I had a truly amazing stay at Ionio Star Hotel! the superior double room was stylish and came equipped with a hairdryer and fresh towels. the sea views were exceptional, and the hotel's location is fantastic, right in the center. Plus, I enjoyed great coffee at Carafe Coffee Roasters, just a 10-minute walk away.

The hotel is very new, has a wonderful service and has at the seaside a wonderful view on the Mediteranian Sea. Hotel has a great swimmingpool with clear sea water and looking from and swimming in this you have the feeling you swim in the sea itself. The owners of the hotel are doning everything to give you a wonderful stay! We even received a good suggestion for a nice evening meal outside the hotel. Clean rooms, good facilities! An excellent place to have a wonderful holiday! And so we had!
The wifi was not working in every room, but there were lot of places in the hotel where it did work, so no big issue. And the sun is shining every day.... ;-) Having many rains all summer in The Netherlands it did not give a good feeling going home again.......

Manager Dimitrius very hospitable and pleasant person, is always ready to help, the owner too. Pool directly on a beach - very well. Good parking. Cozy and beautiful hotel!
It is almost impossible to come into the sea - a bad bottom. Very bad Internet

We've been really surprised by Ionio Star hotel... in a bad way. Worst breakfast ever, dirty pool (we thought the color was due to some "sea water style pool"... but it was just dirty), I found hair hidden everywhere in the room, even in the very small bathtub. People were nice, too bad to write it but the hotel is really bad. Definitely not worth the price, for a seaside with a very small, empty and dirty beach. You have to be aware that in this region of Crete the main thing you can see is agricultural exploited land... not nice, not interesting.

We had no complaints at all. The hotel fully met our needs. It provided a great base to explore the beautiful area of Makry Gialos in Greece. The hotel is situated by a blue flag-awarded beach, and the location was perfect for us. It's within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit. We enjoyed dining at the outdoor restaurant near the hotel. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, and everything was just perfect.

The room was fair
The place is not being maintained. The pool was unuseable, the facilities was sparce. The hotel was being maintained by elderly staff who are unable to cope. It would seem reading reports earlier in the year it was a fine place to stay. Therefore it seems probable staff have left this poor couple on their own. I generally felt sorry for them hence why I would like to remain annoymous to them
